Rules
LEAGUE GOAL
- To fellowship with one another in a Christian manner, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and have fun while playing recreational/competition softball. . To outreach to others and glorify Christ in all our actions.
CONDUCT
- The home team will pray before each game.
- Any physical assault upon another player, spectator, umpire and/ or official will result in automatic suspension from the league. As deemed proper by the league coordinator.
- No swearing and/or abusive language, threat or acts of bad sportsmanship, will result in ejection from a game. 1st ejection will result in a 1 week suspension. 2nd ejection will result in removal from league without refund. Player ejected, can not be present at game times during suspension.
- The umpire runs the games, please respect their judgment. If any problems come up please see the league coordinator.
- Remember, Character Counts: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
TEAM NAME/ATTIRE
- All teams must have a church related name.
- Non-church sponsorship must be family orientated. No tobacco or alcohol names/sponsorships.
- All shirts must have sleeves. No spandex/tight pants or short shorts. Baseball/softball pants are ok. No metal cleats.
- A uniform of matching t-shirts / jerseys is encourage.
GAME RULES
- Unlimted batting line-up. You can use subs for any player that’s part of the Batting order. Sub must be placed in the same spot in the line-up as removed Player at any time. A late player must be added to the bottom of the line-up.
- Last inning will be called at the 50-minute mark. If the 50-minute mark occurs during an inning, the following inning will be the last. The last inning will be declared before the inning starts.
- Ties: A season game will get one extra inning. After that a tie will be issued. Tournaments play until a winner is declared
- One courtesy runner per inning. If a batter bats more than once in the inning, he/she can have a runner again. Co-ed: Man for man & women for women.
- Injury: if a player is injured or leaves a game, the next at-bat is an out (unless a sub can replace the injured player). After that the batting position will be skipped.
- Eight players are the minimum for the men’s team. 8 players for co-ed (at least 4 women). Coed can have more women than men. Teams can borrow from other teams, but only for season games. Teams borrowing players for season games, must have less than 10 players present(no adding players above 10 to improve game day team). If a player becomes injured during the game and the team only has 10, you may borrow from another team, with opponents permission. Teams must have 6, plus 2 borrowed, but no more than 4, to have a game count in the standings. Tournament teams must have players that are on current roster, canot borrow players.
- Co-ed positions, 5 men/4 women- 2 men & 1 woman in the outfield. 1 man/ 1 women catcher/pitcher. Any team may have as many women it wants on the field
- Co-ed: Batting position must be alternating between male and female.
- 12 runs after 5 innings, 20 runs after any time, game will be called.
- We will have a 7/10 run rule per inning. The most you can score per inning is 10 (6 runs have scored and bases loaded). The last inning will be unlimited runs.
- Homeruns-teams can only have 2 more than the other team. All others will be an out.
- All batters will start with 1 strike/1 ball. If a female batter’s third strike is foul, she will get one more strike.
- Co-ed: If a man walks, he gets 2 bases. A woman can chose to walk, with 2 outs and the previous man has walked.
- All home teams are required to have a backup game ball, (525 compression –44 core).
- Home team keeps score and turns final into league supervisor.
- Final rosters need to be turned in by the 3rd week. All players must be on the roster and play at least 1 week in order to be eligible to play in the tournament.
- We are using the alternative home plate. Catcher must use the original plate. For an out, no tags are necessary. Runner must use alternative plate to score, or will be ruled an out.
- Illegal bats: All useable bats should have an ASA stamp(2000 and up).

- The league director has authority to institute or change rules in order to maintain continuity within the league.
